Science starts to understand the process of immunity and the importance of our nutrition, remedies to stimulate auto-regulation of the Autonomous Nervous System (ANS), microbiome and mitochondria.
The microbiome (or microbiota) describes either the collective genomes of the microorganisms that reside in an environmental niche or the microorganisms themselves. They include bacteria, archaea, protists, fungi and viruses and are crucial for immunologic, hormonal and metabolic homeostasis. This course provides practitioners with a solid foundation based on newest research of the microbiome which in turn will help to shift the old model of “fearing or fighting viruses, bacteria or fungi” towards an integrative and self-healing based model of health care.
Our mitochondria inside each single cell is considered to be the powerhouse of our cells, converting energy into ATP which is essential for our cells to function properly and supply energy for cellular activity and therefore our life. In this course you’ll learn about the newest science and how it applies to your practice including health coaching strategies to use the auto-regulation capabilities of the microbiome and mitochondria and it will cover strategies for clients to use effective natural remedies.
In the Nutrition and the Autonomic Nervous System & Natural Remedies course lessons students will learn about innovative strategies to balance the Autonomic Nervous System (sympathetic vs. parasympathetic dominance) using easy-to-integrate nutrition and remedies protocols.
Curriculum & Learning Outcomes
This course includes self-study, live practice and supervision classes. Course lessons have been designed to help students achieve the learning outcomes. See sidebar or below for lessons and topics.
Students will learn the following:
- Why are our mitochondria important and how to increase cell and body energy.
- Understand and differentiate between the traditional “fighting microbes” model, the microbiome science and the new “integrative auto-regulation” microbes model that’s based on Organ-Mind-Brain Anatomy.
- Proven natural remedies and how to use them with clients.
- Nutrition protocols specifically balancing the ANS with its sympathetic and parasympathetic branches.
A certificate of attendance will be provided.
This course awards 5 credits which can be applied towards the Integrated Master’s Degree Program.
This course is open to Integrated Master’s Degree Program students.
