
Master’s Degree Capstone Project
The final project before graduation demonstrates students’ in depth study of a topic selected by the student and reflects students’ skills, knowledge & competencies in a project-based capstone format. Emphasis is placed on researching and advancing specific health issues or relevant Root-Cause Health Coaching™ and Lifestyle Medicine topics.
What is a Capstone Project?
Students may choose to demonstrate their mastery of a subject by submitting a practice-oriented capstone paper about innovative approaches or techniques related to Health Coaching or Lifestyle Medicine, review of client cases, curriculum development, policy analysis, or other related project demonstrating students competency.
To complete the capstone project the following steps are required:
- Submit your M.A. proposal to the LPU committee.
- Start your capstone project following the LPU guidelines.
- Write your capstone paper.
- Submit your final paper.
- Schedule a 10 min. presentation.
- Unless revisions are needed, your Master’s thesis will be approved by the LPU committee and you have earned your Master’s degree.
Specific thesis and capstone project guidelines and outcomes will be provided upon request and once the admission requirements have been met.
The capstone project will completed under the supervision of one or more LPU faculty professors.
Degree Credits
By completing this course students will earn 30 ECTS study credits which can be applied towards the Integrated M.A. Degree.
Admission Requirements
This course is open to students enrolled in the Integrated M.A. programs.
After approval of the final capstone paper student will receive the remaining 30 study credits and therefore have completed the M.A. degree.
